Previously Senior Editor and Colourist at Pogo Films in London, with two decades of experience at the BBC, I've now moved to the USA within easy reach of Boston and NYC. Of course, clients can be anywhere though...[EDIT; I'm back in England now - six years just went by... that was a lot of fun!]
I have recently completed several bespoke colour grading training courses for HBO, NBC, WGBH, BBC and in Boston and New York city, teaching DaVinci Resolve to editors (I've done the same for the Quantel Rio system.)
I also offer affordable, high-end colour grading services, based around a calibrated colour workflow, ensuring complete compliance with your technical and creative needs. Please get in touch for more information.
"...It was a pleasure to meet you and the feedback on the training has been terrific. You have been a huge help for us in getting grading launched. I will definitely keep you in mind for future work."
Barbara Ford Grant
VP, Digital Production Services at HBO
"Jamie is a great colourist and has done a skilled and beautiful job on our film 'Wreckers'. He knows the technology of the Pablo very well, and uses that technology creatively. He's also lovely to work with."
"I worked with Jamie Dickinson on a short film called Whore that won the Grand Prix du Jury, Angers 2010 and the East End Film Festival; and also on various music videos. It was a pleasure to work with Jamie. He is highly skilled, fast and also willing to try out ideas. I was very happy with the end result on the work that we did together."
"Thank you, sir, for a fantastic experience. As I said, you handled some very difficult technical issues with a lot of grace. I learned a great deal and appreciate the extra effort you put into the class content."
